Cathode Casting and Sealing Process
Comtec were responsible for the redesign of an existing Cathode Casting/Sealing Process to reduce manual intervention and improve process performance. As a result the Cathode Casting Process is now carried out by one person with the assistance of a new fully automated Cathode Preheating System which interfaces with an existing anode casting process. The result was removal of personnel from the metal casting process and the ability of the process to meet the temperature specification for pre-heating prior to casting.
