Anode Spraying Process
Comtec were involved in optimising the geometry of molten aluminium and air spray nozzles to improve the process of spraying molten aluminium onto the surface of the carbon anodes to prevent “Air Burn” occurring on the anodes. The optimisation resulted in less variation in mass applied and more even coating applied to the anodes.
